Barbour County Attends African Summit

Rev. Allen Forte & Josephine Forte attend the 1^st Annual NAACP Alabama State Conference Economic Development Summit on Africa on Saturday June 30, 2007 in Dothan, AL.

Featuring the Honorable Odeneho Gyapong Ababio II President of the Ghana national house of chiefs.  The Republic of Ghana, West Africa and The Honorable Kwadwo Oluwale Akpan, Chief of The Fihankra Development Project, The Republic of Ghana, West Africa.

This Conference was very educational and inspiring to hear about the origin, land, housing and the economic opportunities.  There is a large market for tilapia farms and they just struck oil.
