On Monday, January 8, 2007 the Barbour County NAACP Disaster team was on the move in White Oak Shores to help clean up behind the storm that hit during the night of January 7. We moved limbs and cut trees to clean up behind the storm. We helped one of the victims whose trailer was completely demolished and lost everything with a monetary gift to help by needed medications and other necessities.
Here is a picture of the trailer and one of the team members “Larry Smith on the site; also along with the team was Mr. Leon Morris, Mr. William Tarver III, Annette Wilborn, Rev. Allen Forte and Alvin Forte. Barbour County NAACP is doing all they can to help those in need. We are promoting “Unity in the Community”! |
