Disaster Relief State chairman, Larry Smith, co-chairman, William Tarver and legal redress chairman Melvin McQueen attended at the Alfred Saliba Family Service Center in Dothan, AL. The Speaker was Regina Moorer, organizer/advocate for the Southern poverty law center’s Alabama Education reform project. She discussed how parents can effectively advocate for their children and become more engaged in local efforts to address the school to prison pipeline.
