The Barbour County NAACP adopted the entire Crowne Health Care Nursing Home, all 150 residents received gifts at their Christmas party from the NAACP and each night the NAACP attended and sang Christmas carols to the residents. Monday night 12/18 was a wing party, Wednesday 12/20 was B wing party and Thursday night 12/21 was the C wing party. We enjoyed being with the residents and letting them know that each one of them is loved and not forgotten.
During Christmas we also adopted 11 needy families and 33 children. We bought clothes, shoes, coats for the girls and boys through out Barbour County. We also gave a monetary gift to a rural church to help with 15 other needy children so they could have a wonderful Christmas. |
